The major new innovation in the SmartLF Gx+ scanners is the Colortrac designed and manufactured bi-directional (2D) LED illumination system. Colortrac’s use of LED technology is a major benefit to customers who will enjoy; instant-on colour calibration, lower ENERGY STAR® qualified running costs, lower consumable / service / disposal costs and greater reliability from the solid state digital LED design. Compared with previous generation SmartLF CCD scanners, SmartLF Gx+ 42 uses 30% less power in operation as the LEDs are only on when actually scanning and 94% less when idle as the LEDs are switched off. The estimated working life of the LED system is 50,000 hours, which equates to 6 years constant operation 24 hours per day, 7 days per week - with no vacation time!

Colortrac SmartLF Gx+ series A0/42" colour/monochrome scanners combines in one uniquely versatile system both the AEC, CAD and GIS users' needs for sharply defined line detail in technical documents and maps with the graphics professionals' demands for highly accurate colour reproduction and copying.

SmartLF Gx+ / Gx+ T42 series
The SmartLF Gx+ / Gx+ T42 series consists of three versions available with standard and thick media options. Gx 42m / GxT 42m capture wide dynamic range black & white photographs and CAD drawings at speeds up to 12ips. Gx+ 42c / Gx+ T42c adds wide colour gamut scanning to to the 42m with colour scan speeds up to 1 ips. Finally, Gx+ 42e / Gx+ T42e adds express wide colour gamut scanning at speeds up to 4 ips.
