Supplied Software
SmartWorks EZ Touch software is very simple to use and designed for operation by non-specialist users. Choose your preferred method of controlling the SmartLF scanner with keyboard, mouse or touch-screen modes, while providing the entire basic scan to file and scan to copy functionality you need. SmartWorks EZ software saves your scanned documents as PDF, TIFF or JPG files individually or as a batch, and makes document copies to any printer through standard Windows printer drivers.

ISIS® (Image and Scanner Interface Specification) is a software standard developed and supported by Pixel Translations. Any scanner using the ISIS interface presents a familiar set of dialog boxes and scanner controls that reduce the operator learning time required when a new scanner is introduced. The SmartLF ISIS driver is for use with ISIS compatible document data capture / document management applications and is fully certified by EMC Captiva, the developers and regulators of the ISIS standard.
All new SmartLF SC series scanners are supplied with a ready-to-use ISIS driver as part of their basic scanner software delivery. Certified and manufactured by EMC Captiva, the developer, specifier and regulator of the ISIS standard, the new driver is supplied with a two-year support and correction warranty from EMC themselves. The new driver supports SmartLF SC 25, 36 and 42 scanner models.

and suits the requirements of both occasional and professional users. The intuitive user interface can be operated through either mouse or touch screen enabled displays providing simple working or rapid access to the wide range of new full colour and image quality editing features.

With SmartWorks Pro, the Scan-Once Workflow sets the software apart by allowing any number of adjustments to be made in real-time after scanning the image file which is then updated and saved without any additional scanning or operator intervention. This reduces the amount of time incurred storing and retrieving the data file, re-scanning to review changes made or refreshing the screen content.
SmartWorks Pro enhances your productivity by using 10 Preset Filters for quick selection of your preferred key scanning parameters. This helps unskilled operators make the sensible choice of the correct image processing to be used for the TEN most common document types scanned.
You can manage the images in large archiving jobs by using SmartWorks Pro's Multi Page Document Manager which allows the operator to combine large and differing scan file types into single TIFF or PDF files. Creating a multi-page document iutside the scanning process has several advantages including: allowing the operator to check scan quality, allows operation on large or small files without slowing down the scanning process and it does only requires a computer of normal performance as the document creation takes place outside the scanning workflow.
SmartWorks Pro helps you increase the throughput of your scanned documents by using the advanced Auto Size feature that automatically sets the parameters of the scan to suit the size of original document. Also, Auto Detect Document starts the scan automatically allowing you to concentrate on the staging of the document and preparing subsequent ones for feeding. You can use Auto Detect Document in conjunction with the Auto Name feature where you define the basic file name and SmartWorks Pro appends the actual scan number for each subsequent document scanned.
The SmartWorks Pro Copier and Scan & Copy products allow the user to print scanned images or make direct copies to a printer in two different ways; via Windows printer drivers or via Colortrac internal printer drivers.

Standard & Utility Software
Windows Image Acquisition interface (WIA/STI)
WIA is a technology that enables graphics software to communicate with imaging hardware such as scanners and digital cameras.
The WIA interface supplied with all Colortrac SmartLF wide format scanners means that you can use your scanner to scan directly into any imaging application that supports WIA/STI, for example Photoshop.
Scanner utility software
All Colortrac SmartLF large format scanners are supplied with utility software that includes everything you need to keep your scanner in prime working condition and up-to-date with the latest firmware and driver versions.
