Fast high-performance large format duplex colour scanner for double-sided printed documents up to 36" (915mm) in width.

The WideTEK 36 DS scanner is the world's first large format duplex (double sided) scanner for scanning of newsprint and other double sided documents up to 36 inches wide.  This very fast high resolution scanner needs only four seconds to scan both front and back sides of a newspaper page at 300 dpi.

Double-sided scanning means less production effort - saving the need to "flip" the page and scan the reverse side - making it an ideal tool for press clippings, archiving and library services.

The scanner features two camera boxes and captures both sides of the sides of the document at the same time.  After scanning, software separates the scanned document into four single images - capturing left and right sides on front and back in one single scan!

The scanner is connected directly to the users' network and can be operated using any web browser.  This allows it to be used with MS Windows PC, Apple Macs, Unix, Linux, etc. making operating system independent.
